As you all know, the Labor Day Steak Fry has come and gone again and went well for us. A big thank you to all the volunteers that helped. Steve, Kevin, John, Lisa, Kelsie and Teri; you all did great and we look forward to working with you guys again.

Christmas is coming and it's time to think about the Christmas baskets for the service family members and the holiday party for the kids. It's not what we give out, but the smiles that we bring to their faces. So if you're able to help, it would be appreciated.

A few things to mention: There is BARGO on Mondays and Thursday nights from 5 until 7, and Karaoke on Wednesdays. The dining room is open with some great food and specials.

We have many members in the SAL, and few that make it to meetings. You all are welcome to attend the meetings on the 3rd Monday of the month. It's a great way to find out what's going on or to let us know of anything that you may wish bring up. These meetings are open to the membership, so feel free to stop by.

As for membership, we are working hard to process it as fast as we can, so be patient cause it is getting done.

I hope that you all had as wonderful a summer as I had, and I look forward to seeing you at the Post.
