Greetings, and I hope you are enjoying the warming weather. Spring is here!

With spring, the realization came to me that this is almost the last newsletter article I will write as Commander of SAL Squad 435. Which means it is time for elections within the squadron for officers for 2011- 2012. We need you! It is time to have some new blood leading the squadron. The other option ... well, we can cross that bridge if need be. Please contact me if you are interested in running for office.

Reminder, the squadron meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:30. We meet in the Executive Committee Room in the back office.

We are partnering with the Auxiliary to work the Omelet Breakfast on the third Sunday of the month from 8 until 12:30. Cost is $8. April will be the last Omelet Breakfast this spring, and we will be starting up this event again in the fall. We look forward to seeing you there, either volunteering or having a great breakfast.

The next big events coming up are Memorial Day, with our annual service to remember our veterans, and then July 4th. And remember the National American Legion Family Convention will be here this fall.
