Benefits
of Membership from our friends at Post 189.
Membership in the American Legion is open
to all honorably discharged veterans
who have served at least one day of active duty during the following
dates.

Aug. 2, 1990 -Until cessation of hostilities as determined by the U.S.
Govt.

Dec. 20, 1989 - Jan. 31, 1990
-
Aug. 24, 1982 - Jul. 31, 1984
-
Feb. 28, 1961 - May 7, 1975
-
June 25, 1950 - Jan. 31, 1955
-
Dec. 7, 1941 - Dec. 31, 1946
-
Apr. 6, 1917 - Nov. 11, 1918
Also members of the U.S. Merchant Marine From Dec. 7, 1941 to Aug.
15, 1945
Annual dues $40
Membership in the Sons of the American Legion is
open to all male descendants
(sons and grandsons) of any veteran who served during any of the dates
above.
Annual dues $30
Junior dues $12 (up to 18 years old)
Membership in the American Legion Auxiliary
is open to
A woman who is eligible for membership in The American Legion.
The mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, granddaughter or great
granddaughter
of members of The American Legion and deceased veterans who served
in the
United States Armed Forces during the listed war periods.
Step relatives are also eligible.
