MANAGERS NOTES
The road construction project on Portland Avenue and 66th Street is moving along very slowly. Target date for completion is November 1st. It can't be finished too soon to suit us. As always, please exercise caution upon entering and exiting the Post parking lot.

The annual S.A.L. Labor Day Steak Fry was well attended. Kudos to S.A.L. Commander Robert Davis and his volunteer staff for a job well done. Our Auxiliary Unit will be offering their Omelet breakfast on the third Sunday of the month beginning October 19th. Please join us for a good time and the best breakfast value in town.

The 4th annual Chili Cook-off will be held in the lounge during the Vikings game on Sunday, October 12. Twelve contestants have entered and will be vying for prizes and bragging rights. Join us for a good time and a bottomless bowl of chili for the paltry sum of $4.

We do need your continued support in the lounge, dining room, and pulltab room. Our goal is to provde great food, drinks, and service with prices that will fit into your budget.

The Post will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, November 27th, allowing our employees to spend this special day with their loved ones.
